We had a great time at this year's string camp. This year Josh, Jon and I were in the Advanced orchestra, Stephen was in Intermediate, and Daniel was a Twinkle. We got to stay with the Adam's again and had a blast!

We've had a lot of fun since I lasted updated in March.

Jonjon got to play his trombone in the Memorial day parade.He's the one in the middle with shorts that
have a white stripe going down the side.

Dad celebrated his 51st birthday.

After school got out we vacationed in Kentucky
with Galen's family and Grammie and Shannon.
We visited Cumberland Falls,

climbed some big rocks,

and played by the river.

Later some of us hiked up to Eagle Falls.

Thanksgiving - March

We had so much fun with Galen, Tara, Evy and Holly over Thanksgiving last year.

We visited Henry Ford Museum...

went ice skating and did many other fun things.

Peter got to meet his name sake.

Jonathan, Stephen and I got to be in "How the Grinch Stole Christmas"
Jonathan was a narrator, Stephen was the Cat in the Hat, and I was a Who.

Over Christmas vacation the North Dakota cousins came to visit us. Unfortunately, we didn't get any pictures with them.

Matthew turned 3!!

Each year we put him in these same clothes to see how he's grown.

In January, Josh and I played in Solo and Ensemble.
We each got a 1 on the violin and a 2 on the piano.

Joshua's quartet got a 1 too.

Later in January, Joshua got to be in the Michigan All State Orchestra. This orchestra is made up of the best player from all over Michigan. They got to play under this world-famous conductor.

Jonathan did really well at his Solo and Ensemble too. He got a 1 on the cello and piano!!

In February, we got to go skiing at Nub's Nob.

Thanks so much, Brittany, for coming to watch Matthew and Peter.

It's a Boy!! Peter Galen Todd Muzzi was born at 2:59 this afternoon. He weighs 7 lbs. 13 oz. and is 20 in. long. We're so happy to welcome him into our family!

Washington, DC

Last week Shannon took Josh, Jon, and me to Washington, DC for the weekend. We had a blast! Thanks so much, Shannon!!

We started our first day with a tour of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing where we saw one million dollars in 10 dollar notes.

Next we saw the Capitol Building

Thursday night we went up in the Washington Monument, and visited the World War II memorial, Lincoln memorial, and the Vietnam War memorial.

Friday we toured the National Archives, Library of Congress, Smithsonian Air and Space and Natural History Museums, and the International Spy Museum.

On Saturday we went to Mount Vernon and met up with our cousins Jeff, Brenda, and Tyler.

Culver Family Reunion

This past week we were at the cabin for the Culver Family Reunion. Ben, Barney, Shannon, and Grammie came. We also got to meet our Aunt Diana. It was a great week!

We went to String Camp the last week in July. This year Josh and I were in the Advanced Orchestra, Jonathan was in Intermediate, Stephen was in Beginner, and Daniel was in Pre-twinkles. Jonathan also got to play Vivaldi's concerto for two cellos with the whole Intermediate Orchestra behind him! He did a great job.

We were in Wisconsin for a weekend in June for Adam and Katie's wedding and to pick up and drop off kids at Camp Joy. Jonathan had been at camp the week before and Josh and I were going the next week. While we were there we went to the beach and swam in the hotel pool. We had a great time relaxing!

This past year Josh and I have played in the Saline Middle School Orchestra. In March we had an Orchestra Festival. The orchestra played for a set of judges who determined our scores in Sight-reading, Performance, and Intonation, to name a few. My mom says we played beautifully and the judges must have thought so too. We got all ones, the highest score!!

On the way home from the Holiness Conference we stopped off at the Jelly Belly Factory. Actually it's just a Jelly Belly warehouse, but it includes free samples and a train ride. The ride takes you through the warehouse where you view multiple videos presentations and actual candy making machines that are no longer in use. The tour explains the history of the factory and shows how the candy is made.

The engine on our new Ford Focus that we got last May wasn't working so Dad took it apart. It turned out that one of the cylinders was messed up so we got the whole cylinder replaced. Meanwhile, Dad took the oppurtunity to teach us how cars work.

This past week the boys, Dad, Josh, Jon, Steve, Dan, went back up to the cabin to help close it down for the winter. While they were up there me and Mom had a fun time planning school and doing girly things.

The Culver Reunion at the Muzzi cabin was lots of fun. Galen, Tara, Evy, and Holly came from Oklahoma. Mom's cousin Debbie and her three kids, Kathryn, Nicole, and Dan, came from North Dakota. Grandpa Culver and his wife Billy, Barney and his girlfriend Emily, and Grammie and Shannon were all there too. We had 22 people in the cabin. It was cramped but fun!!

Music Camp

Last week we were in Chicago at a music camp. It was a lot of fun. Jonjon was the only cellist in the Intermediate Orchestra so they had a faculty member play with him.

In the Intermediate Orchestra you can challenge the person in front of you if you want their seat. If you challenge you get to pick 8-24 measures from the music you are playing that week. You tell the person you are challenging that you want to challenge them and the measures that you are playing. The next day you both play that section with the orchestra director, Mr. Probus, listening. He picks which ever one he thinks sounds better wins the challenge. If it's the challenger he gets to move up a seat. If it's the challengee than they keep their seat. Jonjon was disappointed because there was no one for him to challenge, so he challenged Mr. Probus. Guess who won? Jonjon!! Because he won he got to direct one of the songs for the concert.

Camp Joy

This past week Josh and I went to Camp Joy in Whitewater, WI. It was a lot of fun. The speaker for the week that we were there was Forrest Chapman. He was a good speaker and a magician. He would do neat magic tricks before the service. His most challenging message was about getting along with others. He had three reasons that we should get along. #1 because we're on the same team, #2 because we're all different, and #3 because of what Jesus did for us. It was helpful because sometimes I have a hard time getting along with some of my brothers.

Field Day and New Car

Yesterday was the church field day. It was a lot of fun. The best part of the day was when the seniors got pies in their faces. At the beginning of the day we voted on who the three seniors who would get pies in their faces. The people with the most votes were Julia, Mary and Jacob D.

The only other thing worth mentioning is Dad's new car. It's a 2001 Ford Focus. He got it from Toledo last night. This is the fourth green car our family's had!

Toledo Zoo

Today we took Eric, his wife Polly, his friend Cybil, and Grammie to the Toledo Zoo. We had a lot of fun looking at the animals and talking to the Chinese Students. We saw the animals do some really neat things. There was a polar bear doing back flips and a hippo being fed. The hippo would open his mouth up really wide and the zoo keepers would drop half of a banana near his mouth. We got a couple really neat pictures of the hippos teeth when he came for food. We also got to ride on the train.

Farm/Mother's Day/Recital/ Everything Else Thats Going On.

A lot of people have been asking when we were going to update again. They said they were tired of weed whacking.
There has been a lot going on lately. A week from yesterday, we went to a farm that had an open house with Grammie, Shannon and Ben. After that we went to Grandpa and Grandma Muzzi's for Mother's day. On Sunday, we went to Potbelly with Grammie and Shannon for Mother's Day.
The rest of the week was spent getting ready for the recital on Friday. We went early so Tabitha could do my hair. We would have more pictures, but we forgot the camera. If we had remembered it there would be different pictures. Sorry!

Weed Whacking

Dad taught Josh how to weed whack last night. Josh has been really excited to actually do it. He was slightly disappointed when it rained, but he did it any way.

Gallup Park

Last night we went to Gallup Park to ride our bikes. We saw the dam and then rode down to the river. At the river, we met a man named Curt. We talked for a while and invited him to church. He had a big dog named Rexie that Daniel was scared of. After they left we headed back to Gallup Park. When we got back to where we had parked the car Joshua, Jonathan, and I went around the main circle once. Then we met up at the parking lot. It was a lot of fun.

Greenfield Village

We went to Greenfield Village with Ross and the Chinese guys. It was fun to see the Chinese guys looking at all the stuff. Most of it was completely new to them. They had so many questions about everything! It was a lot of fun.
